Cecilia is a 4th year Ph.D. student in Engineering Education with a B.S./M.S. in Software Engineering. Though a code monkey at heart, she's easily fascinated by the many different ways people learn and source knowledge, so much so she can't help diving into it herself. Cecilia channels her learnings and excitement from running ASU's yearly MLH hackathon, sunhacks and researching hackathons in her PhD into being a happy code monkey working on machine learning within the programming team.

 

She aims to exist in the intersection between industry, academia, and informal learning spaces to help students transition and leverage their knowledge in every space they can imagine while still getting to do the things she loves most: learning, mentoring & teaching, coding, and creating.
