Faridodin "Fredi" Lajvardi

Mr. Lajvardi has taught high school science for 30 years before retiring from public education to start working for the Si Se Puede Foundation as V.P. of STEM Initiatives for the last 3 years. While at Carl Hayden High School he co-founded the Falcon Robotics Team who achieved worldwide recognition in 2004 when they beat MIT and all the universities in the MATE National ROV Championships. The story was the subject of the movie Spare Parts, the documentary Underwater Dreams and the IMAX film Dream Big. Mr. Lajvardi has been a mentor for teams competing in Robosub for 8 years
