SkyLynn Young is a sophomore who is currently attending ASU Polytechnic School for Robotics Engineering with a minor in Sustainability. Before going to school, she served four years in the navy as a mechanical engineer, which inspired her to pursue this degree in Robotic Engineering. While working with Desert WAVE, SkyLynn hopes to sharpen her programming skills, learn how to work on a team, and get hands-on experience to help her achieve her goal of creating soft-robotic prosthetics for veterans with disabilities. She is also involved with Haptic Display research at ASU to heighten the experience of haptic sensors for people with disabilities.
